After the 2 years of Corona break, the Vienna Comic Con will take place again at Messe Wien on 1 and 2 October.
In between the last edition, we saw a lot of LGBT+ representation in movies, in series, and in all events. Netflix and HBO even have special dedicated queer sections. The superheroes got sexually fluid on the list.
VIECC 2022 we really hope will follow, and the queer characters will be visible at this edition.
The Vienna Challengers Arena will also take place at the same time as the Vienna Comic Con. Highly-paid tournaments in games such as Fifa, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Minecraft await visitors and participants interested in e-sports at this event. The event also promises international tournament guests.
In addition to the Game Zone, where everything revolves around board games, tabletop, pen & paper, trading card games, and more, the Family Fun Zone offers the youngest visitors and families their own Kids Cosplay Contest, a painting area, and much more. In the Fantasy Factory, fans of all genres can meet book authors and attend live readings, as well as immerse themselves in the world of LARP (Live Action Role Play) in the Show Fighting Arena.
The best cosplayers will compete in an international cosplay contest, with winners going to the finals at C2E2 in Chicago.
