A new year, a new set of calendars: the Australian firefighters once again stand their ground on no less than six different photo calendars. In a number of videos, they also give a look behind the scenes.
Every year the Australian Firefighters come out with a series of calendars on which the gentlemen pose scantily dressed. This year there are six calendars with the following themes: cats, dogs, horses, different species, classics and … a summer calendar.
Brett Cunliffe is the lead photographer this year. He says the calendars showcase only the best of firefighters – and the animals, but the gentlemen have to put up with a lot. “You had to know how many scrapes, bites and kicks the firefighters have to endure. Actually, we should have a nurse on staff full-time. Sometimes it seems like we’re working in a zoo, but we’re having a lot of fun in the meantime.”
There is a whole list of charities that the proceeds from the calendars go to.
