The Pornfilmfestival Berlin is an alternative, independent film festival that focuses on sexuality, politics, feminism and gender issues, and is the only festival of its kind in Germany.
This PornFilmFestival in Berlin promises groundbreaking and never-before-screened films on the subject of sex, eroticism and gender images every year. Almost 100 feature films, short films and documentaries from all over the world are shown annually. The mix of films represents the whole range of hetero-, homo- and transsexual desire, showing sometimes conventionally, sometimes experimentally explicit sex, reflective views on the porn industry or simply funny ideas around the topic of sexual intercourse.
The film festival is framed by panel discussions, lectures, readings, workshops, performances, exhibitions and many conversations and presentations on the subject of sexuality today.
Founded by filmmaker and producer Jürgen Brüning, the festival is organized by a dedicated four-member team, consisting of Berlin-based film producers and journalists, and countless volunteers. The festival is held in the oldest cinema in Germany, Moviemento in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
